8/28/2023 0 Comments Used cars nottingham md![]() I call it the Swiss Army knife as it truly satifies all my needs. I am 6'2" and find this Jeep so comfortable overall. Also lowered beltline so visibility is better too. May have helped that they dropped the engine a lower in the generation vs other. ![]() I will also say the V6 is a lot more muted in this generation than last and it makes this Jeep very quiet. Yes the hemi is a little quicker and stronger, but the V6 is plenty adequate for most and I am avg. I couldn't justify the hemi gas mileage and extra cost as I use mine for communting a lot as well and just me in the jeep. I tow and use bike racks, but my towing is limited to about 4000lbs give or take. The UConnect is improved and such an easy and quick system to use and navigate around in. Stays crystal clear and zero distrotion the louder you turn it up while not causing fatigue to your ears. The Mcintosh sound sytem is very good and much better than most car systems. I am very impressed with overall look and layout of interior and the Reserve package puts leather everywhere in place of plastic. The massage seats come in handy on trips north to my cabin and so does the nightvision for all of the deer that run around that area. I have the black interior with orange stiching and it looks spectacular. The interior and options/tech are amazing in the Summit Reserve. This is why I looked for a slightly used one and saved about $8k off MSRP. I will say I do think the price increase from the WK platform to the WL is a bit steep. I don't regret spending more to get the extra options. For me I wanted this GC loaded as I plan to keep for a longtime. and then you are priced right into the Summit price range. I was going to get an Overland and test drove one, but they are very hard to find with certain options like the all-around view camera, etc. That said I am sold on the new exterior and it a nice modern take on the prior without being drastically different. At first I wasn't sure on the exterior design as I was so used to the 2011 to 2022 WK version. ![]() I have a cabin about two hours away and that area is all gravel roads and rutted/pot holes/sand/mud in many spots. I am riding on the 21" Summit wheels and it still rides smooth on road and off. Don't expect this to whip into corners and ride on rails as it still is a heavy and bigger SUV, but it handles it weight and size very well. The semi-adaptive dampers definitely help which I think makes a big difference along with the newer longer wheelbase. No more rocking around with almost no head-sway. It does not have that floaty/boat feeling to it … like it used and is way more planted over bumps and in turns. The new generation air suspension is so much better. I can't believe the diferences in the new generation in both inside as well as how it rides and drives. Unfortunately the prior owner passed away unexpectedly. I had a 2014 Grand Cherokee Overland 4x4 V6 for about 6 years and just purchased a slightly used 2022 Summit Reserve 4x4 V6. ![]()
